Wallis Budge The Mummy: A Handbook of Egyptian Funerary Archeology Few authors have provided better insights into Victorian egyptology than E. A. Wallis Budge, whose 1893 book The Mummy has been used as our main source for images of Ancient Egyptian Mathematics. The book remains as fresh and readable today as when it first appeared, and includes detailed listings of all the dynastic leaders from Narmer, right through to post-Cleopatra Roman occupation. The sections on hieroglyphics provide enough information for the interested reader to teach themselves how to read basic inscriptions, and the historical notes put everything clearly into context.
